Job Purpose

Role & responsibilities

  • Proactively monitor system health and take corrective action before problems occur.
  • Ensure regular System Monitoring & Health Checks
  • Ensure all the critical system backups.
  • Bring in pro-active measures to measure system performance.
  • Deliver on the Uptime & Availability Targets
  • Manage Incidents and Problems as per set SLAs.
  • Responsible for backup, restoration, refresh
  • Responsible for upgrade, service level upgrade, kernel upgrades and firmware upgrades.
  • Perform root cause analysis on unplanned outages and implement measures
  • Implement monitoring tools.
  • Deliver services to business as per the SLA.
  • Manage outsourced IT partners.
  • Keep abreast of latest developments in the area of specialization.
  • Document and institutionalize best practices.
  • Maintain technical SOPs.
  • Ensure regular System Monitoring & Health Checks
  • Hands-on technical depth analysis, problem-solving techniques and participation for complex infrastructure implementation, system upgrades and operational troubleshooting.

System Performance Optimization

  • Ensure landscape performance KPIs and success criteria are established and followed for the landscape, relevant teams in Landscape and services are coordinated accordingly.
  • Manage the landscape performance KPI monitoring process and ensure KPIs are measured correctly.
  • Where necessary, initiate and manage projects to keep the KPIs in agreed scale and even plan for further improvements in a proactive manner, engage necessary resources.
  • Gather detailed information on where KPIs are not met & facilitate responsive actions which may then be transformed into improvement projects.
  • Work with all levels of contacts from cross functional teams for further enhancing the KPIs and system performance.
  • Ensure strict Governance to keep the performance of the systems to acceptable levels of performance across the landscape.

Housekeeping

  • Periodically check and schedule the housekeeping activities like archiving as per retention policy.
  • Ensure housekeeping jobs are running as scheduled and new jobs are put into process as needed, ensure other housekeeping actions are also planned and taken as well,
  • Ensure that improvement activities are carried out according to landscape methodology, agreed design, security and performance criteria and General IT controls.

Resilience and Availability

  • Bring in or operate pro-active measures to measure service performance.
  • Plan for and ensure Proactive Application maintenance to prevent unplanned disruption due to incompatibility of software versions & incomplete/untested release packages
  • Ensure high availability of Applications to the Dalmia business by designing and deploying high quality maintenance plans, covering backup, archiving, housekeeping, health checks, job runs, administration, etc.
  • Ensure minimal business disruption. In case of a disruption, resolve the issue and the root cause with less downtime

Compliance sustainability and integrity

  • Review Compliance Status and take necessary action to mitigate any non-compliance as identify.
  • Conduct all operation of function, ensuring social responsibility and accountabilities by following the company guideline of the same.
  • Review activity under control and take action to make the same sustainable as per the company sustainability principle.
  • Be responsible for ethical operation under his control.
  • Be responsible for prevention, detection and reporting of bribery and other forms of corruption including breach of code of conduct and other company regulation.
  • Avoid all such activity that could lead to or imply breach of code of conduct, anti-bribery and anti-corruption etc.
  • Immediately report any incidents related to social responsibility violations and anticorruption / Anti Bribery process deviation
  • Educational Qualifications

  • Engineering Graduate from reputed institute (Computer Science / Information Technology)
  • Bachelors in computers applications / MBA (IT) from reputed Institute.
  • Diploma / Certification in Information technology infrastructure library (ITILV5)
  • Certification in Windows / Exchange / SCCM.
  • Certification in AWS / Azure
  • Work Experience

  • At least 2-3 years working experience in manufacturing organization candidate and should have worked at least in one Microsoft 365 implementation.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience
  • Exposure to Multi Site environment
  • Hands on working knowledge in IT service delivery following framework of ISO/IEC20000, ITILV5 & COBIT5
  • Knowledge and skills

  • Must have thorough knowledge of networks and cloud computing, proficient in Microsoft Windows software, including server, Linux, office 365, antivirus, end point security, basic networks and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge and hands on experience in SCCM, Remote Desktop Support, Password management, active directory, VMWare, etc.
  • Access system performance recommend improvement.
  • Proficiency in IT supplier co-ordination to a high level of competency including KPI/SLA reviews, reporting and performance troubleshooting and contract reviews.

Educational Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualification -

    Bachelors in computers applications / MBA (IT) from reputed Institute.

Functional Skills
  • Technical Skills required -

    Hands on working knowledge in IT service delivery following framework of ISO/IEC20000, ITILV5 & COBIT5
